May 2007
The MVPA Award Winners are now posted; check the Events page!

March 2006
- Round 1 of voting finishes Sunday, March 19, 2006 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
- Final nominees will be announced on Monday, March 20, 2006.
- Sponsorship: contact Amy (213) 387-1590.
- Wiredrive seminar at Sony Pictures Studio: Tuesday, March 21, 2006.

March 2005
- Voting continues; Round 2 voting ends March 28 at 12:00pm PST
- Nominees announced March 21 on EVENTS page

- Colourmovie created a fantastic concept for this year; colourmovie.com for their info
- If you're interested in volunteering at the event, please contact the office

February 2005
- Date for 14th Annual Awards determined: May 12, at the Orpheum in downtown Los Angeles
- Voting opens (MEMBERS ONLY, just like the jackets!) on February 21st
- Search for a host for the Awards is on, production team is pulling together, and we are always on the lookout for sponsors!

January 2005
- Director’s Cuts event; excellent turnout of attendees AND directors (see Events page for details)
- 14th Annual Awards call for entries goes out January 19
- Production guide finalized (posted below under Newsletter archives)

December 2004
- Director’s Cuts date determined (January 7), production underway with Universal Operations
- Break for holidays!

November 2004
- Teamster negotiations continue; MVPA representing participating member companies
- Director’s Cuts date still being determined, beginning of January looking like primary possibility
- Production Guide (covering May 1 – Nov 1, 2004) being assembled. Please contact office for form to submit information on videos produced in that timeframe.

October 2004
- Fundraising and production for DCFF (interested sponsors should contact Amy E)
- New blog started on MVWire.com tracking DCFF (scroll to bottom under “Around the Web”)

September 2004
- Jury meetings for Director’s Cuts Film Festival programming
- Search for design team to create concept and bumpers for festival (Transistor Studios selected: www.transistorstudios.com)
